A gadget is any ingenious piece or device used to make life more convenient, easier or fun. Gadgets can be called gizmos too. Anything that makes life easier, simpler or more fun will be considered a gadget. We use so many gadgets in our daily lives but not all of them are invented, designed or bought by us.

Gadgets can be small hand held devices that make you carry around with you at all times. They are handy to have around and can come in handy for many purposes. Laptops, smart phones, portable media players all fall under the definition of a gadget. Key Features of most gaming gadgets are picture quality, high resolution display, fast Internet connections, and wide scope of play. Some of the latest gaming gadgets include Xbox, Play station, Playhouse, Play station 3 and Nintendo Wii.

Medical Gizmos: Medical Gadgets range from medical devices such as blood pressure monitors to personal medical devices like heart rate monitors. These gadgets are used by individuals to monitor their health. Some medical problems such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiac problems may require medical treatment that can be monitored through these devices. Other medical issues such as sexually transmitted diseases may also require appropriate medical treatment through these devices. Diagnostic medical tools like MRI’s and CAT scans use different technologies. Gadgets for medical purposes may also include medical software.

Smartphones: A smart phone is a small hand held electronic device that has various functions. It is similar to a mobile phone, except it has a larger screen. The word gadget can be applied to both smart phones as well as mobile phones.

Mobile Phones: Mobile phones are the second largest part of the market after computers. In the beginning, mobile phones were simple devices that had one large display and limited memory. Today, with the help of advanced technology for mobile phones have a wide screen, various features and various applications. They have a great variety of applications and can perform various tasks. There are phones that can act as a radio, camera, GPS and a camera all in one.

Televisions: Televisions are another example of small tools that have great variety of functions. People purchase a television not only to watch movies but also to play games and catch up with their favorite shows.
